Leading multi-disciplinary firm, CSM Consulting Services, hosted the 2010 Western Cape Consulting Engineers Golf Day on 28 April at the Erinvale Golf Club in Somerset West. More than (14 Consulting Companies entered) teams entered the event and the winning team ICE Group beat fierce competition to secure the trophy.
The Consultants' Cup, in its 29th year, is hosted each year by the winning firm from the previous year and since the event cannot be hosted by a winning firm two years in a row, CSM, runners-up in the 2009 cup, received the chance to host this year's event.
According to CSM Managing Director Dolf Möhr, whose company has been in operation for 16 years, "It is one of the few events each year where all consulting engineers and their clients can meet around the golf course. It is a fantastic networking opportunity in forging collaboration between firms and to share projects and experiences in an informal setting."
Established in 1994, CSM has offices in Somerset West, Hermanus, George, Welkom and Pietermaritzburg and offers developers, property owners, municipalities and public works agencies, civil and structural engineering, quantity surveying and architectural services as well as project and construction management.
